Getting Ready For The Holidays

Well It's that time of year again!

Everyone is running around getting ready for the Holidays,

Most important thing not to do is wait till last minute!

When you do it affects you and everyone else you deal with.

If you send out your laundry try to plan ahead, if you have alot of items and you need them for Christmas .............

Please Do Not Wait For The Day Before!

Everyone else will be getting it done that day as well and the attendant will be going crazy

Please pick a few days before and always be nice to your attendant she wants to serve you but needs to feel that you appreciate her time and effort.

They work very hard! Your laundry is not the only laundry getting done!

They are washing drying and folding multi-orders at one time they can not get your laundry done in an hour or 2 like when you do it yourself especially if it is 40 lbs or more.

All work is done in order in which they are due (date and time)

So the earlier you drop it off the earlier you get it back.

Please be patient planning ahead will make you and everyone else calmer

Have a happy and health Holiday!

Helping Others!

Like many of you, I dream about winning the Power-Ball Lottery for millions of dollars.

I have big plans with that money ....and it involves helping others.

But until I win.....I now have a way to help and its FREE!

My good friend, Jenny told me about a very frugal way to help

animals, children, breast cancer, violence against women, oceans, rain forests, end global warming and many other causes.

I am very excited about this site. All you have to do is sign up at www.care2.com
You pick the causes that mean alot to you and you click on those causes once a day.

How does this help, you ask....well every time someone clicks a cause, the sponsors on Care 2 make the donation for you.

You Do Not have to send money....just spare a little time to click.

How awesome is that?

Just think of how much of a difference you can make in this world if you and your friends join and start clicking. My first day clicking to donate will be tomorrow, I will share with all of you how much of a difference that Mikey and I are making for FREE. Please feel free to share your care 2, click to donate experience with us. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

In the meantime I am still gonna play Power-Ball! lol

Mikey said .....that he will remind me everyday to sign on and click!!

Oh P.S.......

My friend Jenny has a great blog too...
www.scullyshaven.blogspot.com
She just blogged about a local way that you can help animals. Check it out!!!

There are many different types of laundry detergents.
There powder and liquid forms. Both work well.

All top brand detergents are strong and can be
cut to save you money.

The companies want you to use alot so that you will buy more sooner.

To save money:

With powder use half of what the instructions call for, and it will go further and your clothes will get just as clean.

With liquid save a bottle and pour half into it and mix with water. Now you will have two bottles.

Keep in mind when looking for bubbles, all detergents add a sudsing agent in order to please our idea that bubbles mean that your laundry is getting cleaner. So if you do not see alot of suds it's ok, you still have the cleaning agent working hard.

Cutting detergent can help alleviate skin allergies.

To save even more money, you can do the same with fabric softener.

Liquid, save a bottle, mix with water
Sheets, cut your sheets in half or only use one per load.

All fabric softeners have a fire retardant warning on them. Please read it carefully.

How To Clean Your Sneakers

Mix 1/2 cap liquid detergent to 2 caps water in a spray bottle

(This will be the best stain treatment you will ever need for your clothes.)

Spray your sneakers all over and let sit for an hour.

Take a scrub brush and some water and scrub all over

Take out laces and soak in a cup with a small amount of bleach
for an hour.

Toss both sneakers and laces in the washer with towels or other clothing
(be sure to rinse laces well before putting the into washer.)

They will come out great!

I never put into dry air dry only! (it's better for the rubber on the sneaker)
